Through Scholastic, our class participated in a program called Classrooms Care. Their motto is READING IS GIVING! The aim of this program was to empower students to read and make a difference. By reading 100 books, Scholastic Book Clubs would then donate 100 books to schools and kids who need them. The donation is made in honour of our class with the help of Scholastic's Literacy Partners. Our classroom rose to the challenge and read over 100 books in a very short amount of time. Way to go Grade 3/4! I am very proud of you. In order to show appreciation for their dedication and hard work, we will be celebrating with a Classrooms Care Party on Friday. The students will enjoy popcorn and drinks and listening to more of Sigmund Brouwer's "Tiger Heat." Congratualtions on a job well done, Grade 3/4!
