Hello Parents!
It is hard to believe that we are already half-way through another month of school. It has taken a little longer than usual to settle into the routines for the class as a whole. As teachers, we are working hard to instill appropriate and expected behaviours for our classroom. For example, last week we were still talking to the class about listening skills and teaching them the steps of listening (look, stay still, and think). We also discussed following directions (listen, think about it, ask if needed, and do it). Please ask your child about their day at school and how they showed they were using their listening skills and how they showed they were following directions.
We will be using this website on a weekly basis (until ParentsWeb is operational). This blog allows us to better communicate with you as parents about the on-goings in our classroom. Our monthly newsletters are a main form of communication, but of course, things will come up throughout a month that we may need to communicate with you (ex. special days, quizzes/tests, etc.). We will have your child write a note in their agenda if we have updated the blog, so that you know when to be checking it. It may be helpful however, to bookmark it on your home computer. Thanks for joining with us and helping us to keep open communication.
Have a fabulous day (+20 in October - unbelievable)!
Blessings,
Mrs. Brennan & Mrs. Lockhart
